Using Pretty Paper

Hi Everyone,
I just did my very first Facebook Live. I was a little nervous but once it started my teaching instincts kicked in. I did mess up the camera angle but overall I was pleased with the experience. Check it out below!

I focused on Designer Series Paper. Do you hoard your paper? Do you wait for the perfect project to use it and so it sits on the shelf? I did that for a long time until I watched a video by Kylie Bertucci, an independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator from Australia. She coined the phrase Love it! Chop it! I love this idea.

Designer Series Paper is one of my favourite products. It can turn a dull card into a wow card. I love making simple cards with DSP. The paper does all of the work. From one sheet of DSP I was able to make 8 simple cards. You need to chop it in order to use it and in the video I demonstrate how.

So grab your favourite pretty paper and chop it and make some beautiful and simple cards. Everyone can use a card during these crazy times of social distancing and staying at home.Spread your love!

Keep cardmaking!

Father's Day Card Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!
I am excited to be a part of this Blog Hop! Our theme this month is Father's Day! Once you have looked at my card you can click on the links below to see the cards of the other Stampin' Up! demonstrators who are participating. Thank you Leena, Sandy, Barb and Jenn for allowing me to join your group!

I love the Geared Up Garage and am happy that it will carryover to the new Annual catalogue in June. I used my favourite team's colours to create this card. You will see a similar card using different colours.

Recipe

  • Cut a card base from Smoky Slate cardstock 11 x 4 1/4; score at 5 1/2
  • Cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock 4 x 5 1/4; adhere to the card front
  • Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 3 3/4 x 5 (this is the piece use will stamp)
  • Use the exhaust stamp from the Geared Up Garage stamp set, randomly stamp the Whisper White cardstock using the Granny Apple Green inkpad and Night of Navy inkpad.
  • Cut out from Smoky Slate cardstock all of the die gears from the Garage Gears Dies. You will need a Big Shot.
  • Use Wink of Stella on the gears to give them a sheen.
  • Adhere the gears to the card front using Tombow glue.
  • On a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock using Night of Navy inkpad stamp Happy Father's Day and then cut out using the die from the Garage Gears Die. Adhere to the card front using Dimensionals.
  • Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 4 x 5 1/4 and adhere to the inside of the card.
Here is the same card using other colours:

Card Kit Available

Hi Everyone:

I have started a new adventure today! I have designed and created a Card Kit for those people who want to stamp and make cards in the comfort of their home (which we are told to do right now).
There are five cards in the kit which includes all the paper, envelopes and instructions. All you need is the adhesive and stamps for sentiments and ink. You can add your own embellishments if you want.
** I used the sentiments in Stampin' Up!'s COVID-19 Giveback promotion. They are digital stamps that you purchase at stampinup.com and the digital download is sent to you. The cost is $12.00 US and 100% of the money goes to charity. All you have to do is cut them out and adhere to your cards.**
The Card Kits are $20.00. You can email and e-transfer me at lpsilver@outlook.com and then pick up the kit at my house. If you wish to have it mailed I will check on how much the postage will be. I had so much fun putting this kit together for you!
I will be making Card Kits until we are able to meet again in person.

Keep stamping!

Keep Calm and Wag On Card

Hi Everyone:
I hope you enjoyed a fantastic sunny day today!

I am really sad to see this Happy Tails Stamp Set retiring. This dog looks just like my dog, Minna. I have used this stamp set alot the last two years. The Dog Builder Punch is not retiring. This card is easy to make and you can use the layout for numerous cards and occasions.

Recipe

  • Cut a cardbase from cardstock 8 1/2 x 5 1/2. Score at 4 1/4.
  • Cut a piece of white cardstock 4 x 5 1/4 and adhere to the cardbase.
  • Cut a piece of gingham paper 1 1/2 x 5 1/4 and adhere it to the card front.
  • Cut out a heart from a coordinating piece of cardstock using the Stitched Be Mine dies and the Big Shot
  • Stamp the dog image on a scrap piece of brown cardstock using brown ink and punch out using the Dog Builder punch.
  • Stamp the sentiment on the heart and adhere to the card front.
  • Adhere the dog to the card front using Dimensionals.
  • Cut a piece of white cardstock 5 1/4 x 4 and adhere to the inside of the card.

Use this layout for your next card. You can take it to the next level with ribbon and embellishments.

Keep calm and stamp on!
