Technique Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,
Another month has flown by since our last Blog Hop! I am excited to be a part of this Blog Hop! Our theme this month is techniques. Once you have looked at my card you can click on the links below to see the cards of the other Stampin' Up! demonstrators who are participating.

The technique I am highlighting is the Subway Technique. I am not sure why they call it that but I heard it was because people write everywhere on walls in subways. The technique is very easy to do with the help of the Stamparatus and Photopolymer stamps. I used the Ornate Thanks stamp set from the Annual Catalogue.

Technique

First take the sentiments for the card and lay them out on the grid paper of the Stamparatus making sure the sayings are straight or the way you want them. I wanted the THANK YOU to be in the middle with the other words around it. Then close the hinged part of the Stamparatus to pick up the stamps and placed the Whisper White cardstock on the stamping area using the magnets. Shown in the photo below.

Ink all the stamps using Bumblebee ink.

Close the Stamparatus and press down on each stamp before lifting the hinge.

Check to make sure you have a solid image. If not ink again and stamp again until image is solid.

Take this piece of cardstock and trim to the size you want it using your paper trimmer. I lined the image up with a groove in my trimmer so I know that it is straight.

Adhere this piece to a piece of 4 x 5 1/2 piece of Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper. Center it at the top of the card.

Cut a 6-inch piece of Faux Suede Trim and adhere it under the stamped piece of cardstock. Cut a 3-inch piece of the trim and tie it around the long piece of trim.

Adhere the front of the card to the Early Espresso cardbase which is 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2.

Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 4 x 5 1/4 to adhere inside the card.

The Stamparatus does all the work to make this technique easy and stunning! Try it yourself and have some fun!
